39cm. Captain America papercraft

"Captain America is a fictional character that appears in comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character first appeared in Captain America Comics #1 (March 1941), from Marvel Comics' 1940s predecessor, Timely Comics,[1] and was created by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby. Over the years, an estimated 210 million copies of "Captain America" comic books have been sold in a total of 75 countries.[2] For nearly all of the character's publication history Captain America was the alter ego of Steve Rogers, a sickly young man who was enhanced to the peak of human perfection by an experimental serum in order to aid the United States war effort. Captain America wears a costume that bears an American flag motif, and is armed with an indestructible shield that can be thrown as a weapon."-wiki

Finally Cap is completed! Overall I am very satisfied with the way it turned out, the only things I would have changed is bringing his shield arm down more to his side and simplifying his hands a bit more. The model comes with a stand like the others, and a few optional extras(raised stars and a 3d belt), the file is not locked if you want to rescale, but if you want to keep it in scale with the previous comic models keep it the same size. Please send your built pics and your name to actionpapercraft@comcast.net and I'll put them up in the build gallery.

p.s. Aside from this one the downloads will resume here shortly, I exceeded my bandwidth and it resets sometime today.

  2. Very nice! Can't wait to see your next model. Just a question though, is capt. America of the same scale as Wolverine? I hope you can make your next models of the same size or scale as this one so they'll look good when displayed together. What do you think?

    ReplyDelete
  3. Thanks Michael. I believe he is the same scale, I think I may have upped the scale a bit on Wolverine cause the parts were so small, but it's not a large difference maybe a few centimeters. I know that Cap and Deadpool are in scale. My goal is to try to keep them all in scale as much as possible, obviously when I get to Galactus I'm gonna have to fudge the scale a bit though;)

  4. this model i must have set a record on done 2 in under 3hrs mind you the amount of models I have made it's probably one of the best ones I have made bring on the next one m8

  5. His head looks a bit on the small side. Is that just the perspective? The model itself looks amazing!

  6. I'm thinking it's probably just the perspective, he's kind of looking up a bit. When I was first starting to learn how to draw comic characters the basic rule of thumb was that regular humans are an average of 5-6 heads in height and a superhero is 7-8 heads in height so going on that principle Cap is roughly 8 heads tall.

  7. He is looking good to me!

I can't wait to finish up my current project so that I can start working on Cap.

I have been following this one closely and am very excited that the time is among us.

Thank you for the time/effort that goes into your models BlueDragon. The end product certainly shows your dedication.

  11. Any way you could possibly post just Cap's head? I think it'd make a great base for a Cap mask, once it was scaled up to human size and the flesh areas were cut out.

  13. Ey,

great papercraft. But I've got a little problem with downloading it. When it's downloaded and I try to open it, my pc says dat it is an invalide file. What's the solution of this? I really like this papercraft (my boyfriend loves the characters of Marvel)... And I really want it. Help?

  14. Great site and beautiful work!!! At first glance it is almost impossible to tell its actually paper and not plastic or resin etc. Any chance you'd make an Alpha Flight character at some point? Or perhaps a giant papercraft Galactus?

    Cheers,
